About After the Game

Welcome to After the Game — where the athlete’s journey is more than just sport.
We guide athletes and their families through every stage of the athletic experience, from the very first tryout to the final whistle and beyond. Our work goes deeper than performance alone—we help athletes balance the mental, emotional, and social demands of competition while staying true to who they are outside of the game. Equally, we support parents in shaping a strong, intentional culture at home—one built on courage, resilience, and holistic growth. Through this dual focus, families learn to navigate coaches, programs, and clubs with confidence, while athletes gain the mindset, tools, and strategies to reach their potential.

With proven principles, thoughtful guidance, and a personalized approach, After the Game equips families to make strategic decisions and thrive through the challenges of youth, elite, and collegiate athletics. Our mission is to create lasting impact: not just building stronger athletes, but preparing resilient young men and women who are ready for life—both in competition and after the game ends.

Meet Morgan Wijay

For over two decades, Morgan Wijay has lived and breathed the world of youth sports—not just as a coach, but as a player, a parent, a business owner, and a mentor. Her journey is not one-dimensional; it’s a mosaic of experiences that gives her a rare and trusted perspective on what young athletes and their families truly need.

As an All-American athlete who earned a full-ride Division I scholarship, Morgan knows firsthand the discipline, sacrifice, and passion it takes to excel at the highest levels of competition. As a 27-year volleyball coach and owner of one of the most successful travel clubs in the country, she has led countless athletes through the highs and lows of competition, cultivating programs built on both excellence and care

As a parent of two college athletes, she has lived the youth sports journey from the bleachers too—navigating the joys, the pressures, and the challenges every family faces. This dual perspective allows her to guide families with empathy, honesty, and hard-earned wisdom.

But Morgan’s philosophy has always reached beyond the scoreboard. She believes that sports are not just about winning games, but about shaping whole people—teaching resilience, discipline, connection, and confidence that last long after the season ends. For Morgan, coaching is about building character, fostering belonging, and helping young athletes discover who they are beyond their stats.Parents and athletes trust Morgan because she has walked every step of this journey:

As a player, she knows the pressure. As a coach, she knows the process. As a parent, she knows the heartache and the hope.As a leader, she knows how to bring it all together.

Through After the Game, Morgan offers families a path forward—one grounded in experience, fueled by compassion, and aimed at preparing athletes not just for competition, but for life

Our Creed

The After the Game Manifesto

We believe sports are more than wins and losses. They are a classroom for life.

We believe every athlete is more than their stats. They are a whole person—mind, body, and spirit.

We believe failure is not the end, but the foundation of resilience.

We believe discipline builds character, and character outlasts trophies.

We believe competition sharpens us, but connection completes us.

We believe parents, coaches, and athletes are partners in a greater journey—a journey of growth, courage, and belonging.

We believe the game ends, the lessons carry on.

And we believe the greatest victory, is not on the scoreboard, but the way we live, love, and lead long after the game.
